International Bible Ministries A 501(c)(3) nonprofit ministry

About the ministry

International Bible Ministries advances the Christian faith through Bible teaching, evangelism, and discipleship.

We are a parachurch ministry, not a church. We do not ask anyone to join us. Our work is to put the Word of God in front of people who are searching, to answer their questions honestly, and to walk with them toward a local family of believers where they can be known.

Our history

International Bible Ministries was founded in 2003 as a California nonprofit religious corporation and was recognized that same year by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c)(3). Our IRS record is public and can be read on ProPublica’s Nonprofit Explorer.

The ministry was dormant for a number of years, with no staff, no income, and no expenses. In 2026 it was reactivated around a new work: reaching the people who have left the church without leaving their faith, and the people who now bring their questions about God to a search bar instead of a pastor. That work is described on What We Do.

We file the IRS Form 990-N e-Postcard each year and our filings are current.

What we believe

Adopted by International Bible Ministries, Inc., July 5, 2026.

International Bible Ministries holds the historic Christian faith. We affirm:

1. The Scriptures

The Bible, in its Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God, trustworthy in all that it affirms, and the final authority for what we believe and how we live. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

2. The One God

There is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19)

3. Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is true God and true man: conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, sinless in life, crucified for our sins as a substitutionary sacrifice, bodily raised from the dead, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and coming again in power and glory. (John 1:1-14; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:11)

4. Humanity and sin

All people are made in the image of God and are of immeasurable worth, and all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, standing in need of His salvation. (Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23)

5. Salvation

Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is the gift of God, not a result of works, received by personal repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:16; Romans 10:9)

6. The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit regenerates, indwells, seals, and empowers every believer for godly living and for witness. (John 3:5-8; Ephesians 1:13-14; Acts 1:8)

7. The Church

The Church is the body of Christ, made up of all who truly believe, expressed in local gatherings of believers for worship, teaching, fellowship, and mission. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Hebrews 10:24-25)

8. The mission

Christ commands His people to make disciples of all nations: to proclaim the gospel, to teach the Scriptures, and to walk with people into obedient faith and Christian community. Evangelism and discipleship are the central work of this ministry. (Matthew 28:18-20; Romans 10:14-15)

9. The hope

Jesus Christ will personally return; there will be a resurrection of the dead and a final judgment; those who are in Christ will live with God forever. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 21:1-4)

Affirmation of the Lausanne Covenant

International Bible Ministries affirms the Lausanne Covenant (1974) and holds its understanding of the authority of Scripture, the uniqueness of Christ, the nature of evangelism, and the mission of the Church.

How we are governed

The ministry is directed by a board that includes a director who is independent of WiscAI, the company that donates our technology, and who leads a separate charitable ministry. The board has adopted a written conflict of interest policy. Any decision involving WiscAI is made by the directors who have no interest in WiscAI, with the interested director abstaining.

All technology behind Sanctuary is designed, built, hosted, and donated at no charge by WiscAI, Inc. under a written Donated Technology Services and License Agreement, and no funds of any kind are paid by the ministry to WiscAI.

There are no paid staff. The work is carried by the President together with volunteers and contractors. See Leadership for the board and project staff.
